Get ExifTool or use the link on this forum. I find ExifTool reads absolutely everything. I put it on my Desktop, and just drag and drop an image and it reads it all out in a window.

Drag and drop on a Mac???

I've followed the link and the instructions as best I can but can't seem to get out of the miles of documentation in terminal to the very promising desktop app you are talking about. Any hints?

I don't use a Mac, so I'm not sure it will work on one. Have a look at ExifTool on line to see if they have a Mac version. In Win 7 I just drop the image on the ExifTool icon and it pops up a text box with what seems at times to be much more than the EXIF can actually contain.
