K-5 won't autofocus with remote

Like the title of the thread says, my K-5 doesn't seem to autofocus with the remote. I'll start off by saying that I have the menu option for autofocusing with the remote turned on, and that it worked on my Kx before I upgraded. Any thoughts on what to do about this?

Is AF-S set to "Focus-priority"? It is in the custom menu, C3-15.

Might help to know what kind of remote you're using? OEM wireless, OEM wired, third party wireless or wired, some kind of trigger…?
