MX-1 Date and Time

Hi, just bought a new MX-1 at a great price and I like the camera. However, I can't get the date and time to save in memory. Every time I turn it on (4 or 5 times now) I have to set the language, date and time again. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Chuck

Did you remember to save the settings before leaving the setup menu?

If so, then it's possible that the backup battery in the camera has run dry, in which case you'd need to send the camera in.

Yes, I fell for this when I first got the MX-1.
Remember to highlight 'SETTINGS COMPLETE' then press OK.

Duh

Here I am an engineer and I overlooked the "settings complete" at the bottom. I feel stupid, but I sure like this (not so) little camera. I'm a sucker for the heavier feel and brass covers. It's a shame this camera didn't sell better - nice IQ, great features. I bought this from a US dealer for $240. Bargain at that price.

Thanks guys,
Chuck
