Thanks Jim Johnson. I've been wondering about that. Actually, the screw between the locking pin and the red dot is stripped. The rest of the screws are holding fine. I'm also concerned about the weather Resistance. Can they test that the way they test watches????

Where is the best place to send the camera for inspection? How long should I expect the inspection process to take? And do repairs take a long time?

I must admit I'm very impressed with the build quality. I thought the entire camera was history the moment it hit the concrete.

If you have some form of replacement insurance, it is probably worthwhile to send your camera in for inspection while such insurance is still in force.
I called the repair service today - there is no way to test to see if the WR is compromised (if the camera was waterproof, they could do a pressure test like on watches), also unless I notice something specific not working. Their technicians could do a basic inspection and clean the sensor for $65. Since the camera is "like new" except for being dropped, the sensor does not need to be cleaned (I did the dust test) and that's the main reason for the $65 charge. Customer service recommended a wait and see approach... If anyone had ideas about specific functions that might have been compromised that I can test - or that the repair service would look for, please let me know.
