Price Check

I'm being offered an deal for $1300, and now needs prick check on quality of this deal.

K5-ii, i was told that, this camera was purchased a part of the 18-135 bundle, but the seller apparently sold the 18-135 separately. The camera itself look almost new, with 2848 shutter, and it come with everything in the bundle kit other than the 18-135 (box etc..)
Tamron 17-50, like new, i've tested it, and its very sharp.
Tamron 70-200, like new, but cosmetically, the 17-50 looks newer...

I told the seller that i'll need time to judge the quality of the glass from the pictures that i took, and will need another day before responding.
please help, i think its a good chance for me to get an second body and extra lens for my partner.

well, brand new K5ii is like $600 so used would be $450-550 depending on condition. Sounds like $500 sounds about right. The 70-200 has been going for $500-550 on ebay these days used. Say $525. The 17-50 is also around $300 used. I dont think this is much of a deal. You could easily buy them separately for about the same price.

It is?
I know Adorama show it as $670 while B&H show it as discontinued, but this side of the pond the K-5II(s) body is still close to the price of the K-3 at most auth' vendors with the cheapest being AUD$960 at DCW.. Some grey importers have it as low as AUD$799 but charge you through the nose for shipping and there's no local warranty, so that's not an option for me. Even second hand they are holding their value very well here.
I don't know about the UK and EU, but the huge price difference between here and there is remarkably unfair

It was on sale about a month ago on B&H for $600 while the K5iis was $700.

Shame Aussies are put through the wringer. If the specials are at the vendors expense while they clear stock, that's fine - but if it's a Ricoh promo then it should be global.

It's not a Pentax promo, since the cams are discontinued. In the US, once that happens, MAP (minimum pricing) is dropped, so stores can be much more flexible with their pricing.

As for the package deal, it sounds fair. Not a steal but certainly not overpriced.
