Yes, around the light shield. But I don't have carpet on my floor and that's why when metal hits hard floors, things bounce.

Ohh man I know that pain !! How many times I was on my knees looking for that damn 1mm ball or tiny screw :P What helps is a strong light with broad range - when shone at the floor at an angle it will reveal all even tiniest particles and dirt - and that helped a lot in finding those microscopic tint parts to me.--manntax

Thanks. Problem is I am not sure where exactly it fell to and I have a pretty wide area under where I was working.

Oldbayrunner, a missing mount screw wouldn't be a problem, I have extras of those from older tcs that I took the screws out of and donated said metal to my nephew's scrap pile.

I thought I'd give you all an update on this cleaning haze. I give up. The haze is still there and no amount of cleaning will get rid of it because the haze is on plastic. So, I am going to figure how to get all the glass out of this lens and trash the rest of it.

The DL Super Marco I bought is fine as long as I don't shoot high contrasty subjects. And in my opinion is a much sharper lens than the APO ever was, even at 300mm.
