Cleaning contacts question

Hi,

Is it ok to clean the contacts on the camera and the contacts on a lens with rubbing alcohol and a q tip?
Or is that a no no.

It works fine, but ideally you want the lowest water content possible. I think most people recommend at least 90% alcohol.

Sparingly. Generally I've found buffing with a micro-fiber cloth to be sufficient.
