Flash in wireless mode off but still firing

So I've been following Gary Fong's directions to use an external wireless flash but not have the built in flash fire and it's not working. Here's the video
. I'm following it exactly but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm using the AF-360FGZ.

The built-in flash will still fire, but at a very low power level and will contribute very little to the exposure.

You might also be noticing the pre-flash sequence which fires at the same brightness as during normal wireless operation.

The important question is, do your images come out the way you expect?

the photos are coming out as if I didn't change the setting in the menu. The built in flash shows up just as prominent as the off camera one

Not sure what to say since it works fine for me.

What body?

You did set the body flash to wireless option, not just flash on?

Does the C21 menu option make any difference in the image at all?

You did sync the AF360FGZ channel (i.e., 1 through 4) with the body, right?

Where is the remote flash located, relative to the subject, and relative to the camera?

Also make sure the off camera flash is set to slave, I believe that is the only option when triggering with the cameras flash.

I use a Metz AF 48-1 and have no problem triggering it with the cameras flash.

the other wireless setting didn't work either. How do you change the channel on the body?

Anyone saying it works for them (the built-in flash does not fire during exposure), please read this thread and do the same test as described in a post therein.

Here is another thread with some more data (see post #8): link.
