Flu Card not working

After installation and camera on, the camera beeps and I can see the graphic on the camera screen shows it booting up? The graphic stops flashing then greys out. So I cannot connect my ipad. Any ideas please?

I think the card is sick...It's got the flu...lol

Check the lock switch on the card to see if it's in the right position.

You might have a bad card, but FYI the graphic that looks like a wi-fi signal on the back LCD is supposed to grey out until a connection is made (it blinks white while starting up, and stays solid white when something is connected).

Check your "wrench menu #3" to see if Wireless Memory Card shows "FluON" or "FluOFF." If it says "FluON" and your iPad still can't see the network SSID of the card (typically "FLUCARD_for_PENTAX"), or "no wireless memory card in slot #2" then, yes, your card could be defective.

Just as I suspected. Looks as if I will have to return it!

Thanks for the info.

Does it beep multiple times, or just once? If it's multiple times, then the card is probably working. Try inserting it into your computer and seeing if the wireless features boot up.

Also, check to see if the wireless features may have accidentally been disabled using "control images". More on that can be found in the manual and in our review.
