Problems with K5-iis and RAW

I just got my new K5-iis camera and I am having a very annoying issue which seems to be related to shooting in RAW+. When I do so, the following happens:
1. Very often when I press the playback button to view the picture taken in RAW+ mode the camera freezes...the only way to revive it seems to be to turn it off or sometimes even this does not help, so I have to remove the buttery
2. Some pictures just disappear, as if the camera could not save them at all
3. When I shoot too fast, i.e. shot after shot, after a few shots it stops working...I press the button to take a picture and nothing happens. After few seconds it gets back to normal.

It seems to work allright in JPEG mode.

Is the camera faulty?

Could be a bad SD card. What card are you using? Have you formatted it in-camera?

Also, maybe an SD card that's too slow? A class 10 card is best, and go for one of the better makes such as San Disk.

It's a 8GB Kingston class 4 card...yeah, maybe it's too slow. Will get a class 10 one and report back.

If a new SD card doesn't work (try a SanDisk Extreme or similar card) then send it back.

And make sure you get a genuine card (again, SanDisk recommended) from an authorized, reputable dealer in the original packaging. If you have a fake, "pirated" card, this is exactly the type of behavior you could expect.

The problem is definitely related to the SD card. Got a new SanDisk class 10 one with which is camera no longer freezes and is actually usable in RAW mode. Still... preview is a bit slow.

I use mostly SanDisk and a few Kingston - nearly all Class 10 or better - but they're all genuine.
