How do you process your images? If you're not shooting RAW and processing in a program like Lightroom, I'd suggest that's a necessary next step.

As far as body upgrades go, I'd look for a used K5 body. But lighting if you're most interested in portraits and indoor photography is always good. The LED panel lights are less expensive, and provide a constant light.
