MZ-50 shutter

Just wondering if anyone has seen a fix for this.
Mz-50 shutter wont go fully closed , that is all the way to the bottom.
As soon as the camera is turned on it emits a motor sound for about 1 sec and with the back open I can see that it's trying to close the shutter fully. This also happens with the press of any button.

First photo is a good MZ-50 shutter.
Second is the bad one.

Can you get it to fully open in bulb mode? Then you could check for any bits of debris in the shutter channel...

The MZ series where known for having a plastic gear in the film and shutter advance machanism that would get shredded over time.

The repair was to replace the plastic gear, preferably with a metal one.

Regards

While I was looking at it, one of the flat ribbon cables broke so it has now been binned.

Thanks anyway.
