Pentax K-5iis and Macro photography question

Hi all. I just wanted to ask as a total newbie here, and an interest in the Pentax k-5iis, will the moire issue with this camera affect details in macro photography. Am interested in a purchase of this camera as a present as I know she does macro photography, and was wondering if the moire will be an issue due to the very details that insects, wings, and plant may have. Thanks for the help. Please note only know what have read as I am in no way knowledgeable in the cameras, just don't wish to make a mistake with the camera. By the way the present is for a beginner as well that just loves to photograph, and hope to make it an enjoyable present rather then not working out for her. Thanks for your assistance.

It has been a complete non-issue for me. With 1,000's of images taken I have had no problems at all. YMMV

I don't think I've taken 1000 macro shots with my K-5 IIs yet, but the ones I took this week came out good.

Moire seems to affect perhaps 1 or 2 photos in 1000 for me. But the better sharpness is noticeable on 1000 of 1000 in-focus shots. You decide.

Insect compound eyes can certainly generate false color / moire under certain conditions, but for most macro shooting one stops down the lens enough that diffraction takes care of the issue.
