Multiple Pentax Lenses, Manual vs. Kit Lens.

Just to share, I did a quick lens test this morning by shooting a coffee cup with different lenses. I was curious to see how the "kit lens" stacked up against an array of vintage, manual lenses. These were all hand held, so the angle may vary. The exposure was the same across all the shots... Pentax k-x, f5.6, ISO1600, Shutter @ 100.

Lenses: DAL 18-55mm, SMC M 28mm, SMC M 50mm, SMC M 1:4 100mm Macro, SMC A 135mm

Kit Lens -- Pentax DAL 18-55mm

Pentax SMC M 1:2.8 28mm

Pentax SMC M 1:1.7 50mm

Pentax SMC M 1:4 100mm Macro

Pentax SMC A 1:2.8 135mm

Just an experiment, to share.

Near as I can tell, they are all perfectly equivalent!!!

BTW...Welcome to the Pentax Forums

Your images are not displaying. A little sneak at the code indicates that the attached images did not load. My attempt to load one of them directly failed as well. It may be that your membership is in some sort of no-attachment limbo. It is hard to tell. Most of us link to images hosted at Flickr or elsewhere when we want to share our work here. The attachment mechanism is a bit cranky and often degrades the images.
