Pentax Optio WG-3 Timelapse Function

I'm looking at using my WG-3 for a time-lapse video but I haven't ever done anything like it before. I know how to set it up and etc.

I was just wondering:

1. How long a battery would last doing a timelapse and at how many intervals
2. How much memory I will need.
3. If the battery doesn't last all day would I be able to charge it while taking the timelapse.
4. What would be the best interval to shoot from sunrise to sunset?

My plan is to set it up on a tripod on the beach and time-lapse sunrise to sunset.

If anyone has any suggestions for me that would be great.
