Relieved K50mm 1.1,2 ok, but K.01 problem

Was thinking that I killed the 1.2 50mm could not get a sharp image out of it, it was in lens bag and was slight drop of 400mm ( butter fingers). was ready to send it off for repairs. Discovered that using it on K01 and the aperutre step/kick down mechanism is not working on any of my manual lens (every manual lens works on K3). Went through the menu of K01 and could not see any setting that was awry.

Is there any thing I am missing that could lead to the kick down not working on the K01?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

you can only use K and M series lenses in Manual control modes - SV,TaV,P,S,A, modes won't stop a M or K series lens down. Only M, B, and X modes allow for that.

Cheers mate, will go through the settings again and give it another go, I thought it was in M manual mode, but maybe the dial was not set. Thanks.

Make sure you have ISO set to a fixed value - not AUTO , and of course in 'M' mode with green button, this should solve your problem. Setting ISO to AUTO in M mode with K or M lenses will effectively mean that your camera shoots wide open with AUTO ISO and auto shutter speed.

Cheers, the lens is tripod only at f1.2, that shot was the first time I've nailed focus. All the other times have been trying hand held and the slightest movement puts you out of focus.
