Help! Thin stand of hair in OVF.

Hi,
Today was changing my kit lens to pentax M 50mm f2 , which i bought a few days ago.
I was swapping the lens to evaluate the new lens & was enjoying the IQ of the dirt cheap lens of mine.
Again as i was into swapping, i started noticing a thin strand of hair in my OVF, i tried blowing air but no changes.
By visual inspection I'm not able to spot the hair.
It really worries me seeing the OVF with a hair projected into it.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
Is it fine to swap the lens often, with respect to the lens mount? is it harmful?
Thank you!

If you drop the focusing screen into the open position, a rocket blower will usually get rid of a hair. Beware, though. Focusing screens are very delicate. Don't touch the surface, you will scratch it.

And don't worry about swapping lens. Just turn off camera and point it down, so you minimaze chance that focusing screen and sensor (what it's more important) collect the dust.

Thank you, will be doing the same tomorrow,
But do i have to lock up the mirror while doing so? of should i just use the blower to clean the mirror?
in btw sorry for being ignorant, where's the focus screen located, i mean just above the mirror?

Just above, yes, it's parallel to the table when you put the camera on it.
You can see it clearly in this thread:

Just be aware of where you blow that hair to! A hair on the OVF is annoying, a hair on the sensor is a bigger problem...

I still have an Arctic Butterfly sensor cleaner that I bought many years ago (I've been a Pentax digital SLR user since the first days of the *ist DL) but I have to say that with the sensor cleaning features of the K-7 and K-5 models, I never use it anymore. Earlier sensor cleaning models were not very effective, though, IMHO.

You should not have to drop the screen to get a hair off the bottom side. I would suggest leaving the screen where it is* and fogging the screen with your breath to dispel static charge. Then try the blower.

Steve

* If you drop the screen, that exposes three surfaces to dust, dander, pollen, and hair. Clean one surface and the other picks up something else...compound frustration...
