Issue with Rikenon XR 50mm L

For some reason the camera forces the aperture of this lens to stay wide open. It's not like the m42 pin issue, this only happens when the camera is on. When it's off I can change the aperture like normal.

Any solutions?

Just a little disappointed because this thing is bloody brilliant at F2, and wanted to see how much better it gets stopped down a bit.

Oh, yeah...I don't have the "L" variant, but I do own two XR Rikenon 50/2 lenses and a Rikenon-P 50/2. Sharp, sharp, sharp with great contrast.

I agree.

Here's a picture of my cat. Completely uneditied raw file shot at 3200 ISO and @f2. Great colors as well, this lens is a keeper I believe, but we'll see when I go out to shoot tomorrow
