If you want to stay in your chair, the DA 35mm macro limited would be the best bet. It is also a very useful normal lens for general photography.
Upgrading to a phone with a better camera would be a reasonable option too.

This is what I'm thinking, too. The 90mm & 100mm macros would be too long if you're wanting "full plate" shots. I work on a travel show and we shoot a lot of restaurants. We have a person whose job it is to take still photos for all our social media outlets. She gets some great food shots and she almost exclusively uses her I-phone (a 5C) or her small Nikon P&S camera.
