Pentax K20D with Pentax Fa 35-80mm F4-5.6

Hi,
I have a Pentax K20D. Now I am planning to buy a Pentax Fa 35-80mm f4.5-5.6 lens. But I am not sure whether it would work perfectly with my K20D body or not. DO I need additional adapter to use this lens. Hope to receive some expert suggestion.
Thanks

It will autofocus and auto-meter without the need for any adapter. In fact, it will work just like any other modern DA lens- just be sure to keep the aperture ring set to "A" at all times.

It will work, as Adam said, but working is relative. One semi-discouraging note is that it's NOT a very good lens, and you may be disappointed in it on the marvelous K20D. I have one, and consider it among my worst lenses across many platforms. YMMV

I had this lens and would say that a simmilar one - SMC Pentax-FA 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 is much better (I have some really good photos made on 14 MP sensor with this one stopped down a little). Both lenses cost next to nothing nowadays. And if you are able to spend little more money there are other legacy AF zooms better then 28-80.

Please suggest me some lens (SMC Pentax FA) as I often do street photography and ocassionally portrait. Also suggest some other accessories that I need as I am new to Pentax family. I have bought my Pentax K20D few weeks back. Thnaks

Hey thras, Out of the ones in my signature, I suggest the 35/2.4 ....the plastic fantastic, A50/1.7)(this one is manual focus) and the FA 28-70. But there are many others. Others will put in their 2cents, I'm sure. Read the lens reviews here. Link at top of page.
