file sequence

Sorry if this has been asked before, but the K-5 II, appears to create a new file every day? Just noticed, and changed the menu to 'Pentx' instead of 'DATE', but haven't tried to get more images...
Any helping souls out there?

My K-01 creates a new folder every day, yes.
I never bothered to see if it could be modified since I was happy & can't check right now, but this looks pretty normal to me.

That should fix it.
All your images will now be in one folder (until you get to 9999 and the camera will create another fold for subsequent images)

If you set it to "DATE" it will create a folder for each date but will keep incrementing from the highest number file on the card. If you delete all the files on the card the sequence will start over from 0001. I usually delete all the files and folders except the last one to keep the sequence going. As noted above it will roll over at 9999.

I prefer all photos in one folder (PENTX).

If you open the PENTX folder, then right-click, and choose VIEW DETAILS, you can see the date that each pic was taken.
