k3 dark iso

Recently bought the k3..here's my issue. When shooting outdoors in great sunlight with 35 mm lens at 125/2.4 I still have to bump up the iso to at least 600 to get a evenly balanced shot..this doesn't seem right to me..I mainly do natural light photography and with my other brand I used a 28-70 2.8 L at 250/ 2.8 I never had to go above 200iso. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. .thanks in advance

What metering mode are you using?

All metering modes produce the same result in a fixed test?

Check the exposure compensation.

Do you have another lens to test with to eliminate a lens problem?

What shooting mode are you using? M, Av, Tv?

Thanks aleonx3 ,
My main concern is once I switch to the Tamron 70-200 my shutter speed is going to make me bump up the iso so much that the pics won't be usable. I've watched every video I could find and read the manual a few times. .possibly a defective product???

Yes all produce the same result.

I have tested it with 2 other lenses

If you are shooting in manual mode, try to hit the green button to see if the shutter speed will change...

Very strange that spot metering produces the same exact result as matrix, this is almost never the case unless you are shooting a featureless white wall.

Most important thing you can do to help us help you is post a picture with full exif. From that we can probably determine what is going on.

As a test the exposure compensation I put the camera on a tripod outside lemon tree as subject in semi shade side lit from the sun. Took pics from -5 to +5 in manual 125/2.4 iso 400 and no difference at all

Just a shot in the dark here, but are these manual lenses? If so, is "Using Aperture Ring" enabled and / or aperture ring set to "A"?

No ND and not manual ..
I'm stumped.. I've been shooting with canon for about 6 years I'd say I have a more than fair amount of experience ..cant figure this one out ..might just be the camera..only one way to find out

Obviously, it could be a faulty camera.....
