Dirty AF module - can it be the reason?

Some of you might be aware of some issues I've been having...
I apologize if the link I will be posting is something not allowed, but it might answer some of the doubts, for me... Can this be the root of it?...

I highly doubt it.
You only seem to have trouble with one lens. If it was the AF module, you'd have trouble with all lenses.
If the lens won't focus manually, it is not the camera.
The 35/f2.4 focuses down to 11.81". I would run a manual test at that distance and infinity. If you can't reach infinity manually, the lens is a boat anchor.

Do you let the camera "decide" what to focus on? It might be better to use only the center AF point (or a 9x9 area at the center) and then use the "focus and recompose" method.
