Catch-In Focus with Takumar [135/3.5] lenses on K-5II?

Well, with K-mount lenses, there isn't any problem, because pins are covered with metal from lens and, therefore, there is a contact. With Super Takumar 135/3.5 lens, pins are free from any "touch" and there's a lots of free space between pins and the lens. I pushed a little the second pin with key, and CIF was working, but that's not the solution. What do you recommend to do?

There are lots of threads about shorting the pins to enable CiF. Metallic tape or a piece of aluminum foil taped to the mount are the usual fix.

You can buy a flanged adapter.
It won't be genuine Pentax, but some people report success with then. Just make sure it is a type that is well-machined, so it will fit and won't get stuck on the camera.

I think I'll try with metal (duct) tape or something similar.

Hvala. (:

The easiest solution is to cut a little kidney shape foil from aluminum food tray; use it as shim between the lens and mount to short the pins.

I glued aluminium foil on sticky tape and then tape it on contacts. It works.
