K3 video function problem

Can't get video to run. Some areas of menu are greyed out..Movie Capture Settings, Recording Sound Level and Movie SR. Tried to reset in both Menu and Video Info Panel. No luck. Any Ideas?

Not really.
How much space is on the memory card? Possibly your card will not support video being written to it? A real long shot thought...

Is your physical lever set to movie instead of stills?

Plenty of room on card. Yes, lever on movie. For some reason Movie Capture Settings is on multiple 4K, Recording Sound on on mute, and Movie SR is off. Can't seem to reset either in menu or on control panel

Ah. There's the problem. 4K is just a time-lapse mode. It's not actually a movie mode. Get into your drive mode menu (up on the 4 way) and set to remote off.

There is no single frame option in the video drive mode menu. There is only remote control off, remote control and interval movie settings. You currently have it set to interval move at 4K. Since this is a timelapse of stills, there are no movie options, hence they are grayed out. You need to set the drive mode to remote control off.

OK Finally found how to use 4 way in movie mode..clicked to drive mode symbol, clicked up arrow, got window with choices and switched off remote/time lapse. All good. Thanks
