OFC-1 Flucard no live view in Chrome

I recently purchased the OFC-1 Pentax Flucard. When connecting to my iPhone 4s using the Safari browser all works fine. But if I try to use Chrome, all controls are in place and work, but the live view image does not appear! I downloaded the most recent version of Chrome from iTunes, but still no image. As I said, controls work. I even tried my Nook (version of Android) and get the same thing. While the camera controls work, no image. Again - it works fine with Safari.

Any suggestions on what to look for to get it to work?

I just gave up and I use Safari. It actually works pretty well, since it is about the only thing I use it for, and it comes up with the Flucard right away.

Try Firefox. I hate being locked into Apple.

So you ran into the same thing, too? That appears where I am heading.[COLOR="Silver"]

I didn't think there was a Firefox browser for the iPhone...

Have you tried clearing cached info from Chrome and delete browsing history?

Some browsers have the nasty habit of caching everything, even pages with errors.

I have the same setup on my PC laptop. IE is used only for the Flucard. Everything else is Chrome.

This was a new install of Chrome on my iPhone. As I continue to search for a solution, it appears as if the lack of a live view is something that does occur. As I mentioned, it works on Safari, so I am comfortable the settings are correct.

On my LAPTOP I can get it to work with my default browser Firefox just fine. Well once I learned the trick to resize the window so it thinks it is in portrait mode! I am kind of hoping what is going on and see if I can press my luck and have it work with my Nook Color.

At the very least, I do have it working with Safari.

I used Chrome on my Android phone with Flu card so it should work. But then again, maybe later versions of Chrome have introduced bugs. Chrome on iPhone however is quite different than Chrome on other platforms under neath the surface...

Pentax/Ricoh response pretty much said the same thing ruggiex:

"It is possible the latest release of the Chrome browser is not compatible with the Flucard. We have not received any technical data on compatibility of the Flucard with the current Chrome browser version. Howeverf [sic], I would recommend you try updating the Flucard firmware at:"

So now I will give it a try and see if it works ok or if I end up another one of those whose flucard gets toasted! Fingers crossed!

Flucard video stream is encoded in MJPEG. I wonder if Chrome for iOS could not decode MJPEG. You may check if you can see the video at the site below by using Chrome:

Showing All Webcams - mjpeg.net Live Webcam Directory and Webcam Search Engine

Interesting. I tried it from my PC using my current browser to ensure I could see a webcam from that site. Then went to the same site using my iphone 4s, with IOS 8.1.3. No luck. Then tried it using Safari. No luck there. But at least Safari works with the flucard and I'll stay with that. Just makes more room on my phone for other stuff without Chrome! )

Thanks for the suggestion.
