Pentax dropped making a noise

Hi everyone I need some help or someone to tell me not to worry, my son pulled my K5 11s down on him and it fell a good 5 feet on to my kitchen floor, well it's working fine but when I power on it makes this odd little squeak noise maybe, or like something rubbing it's hard to describe, it's faint but I hear it, I took the lens off to see if I seen anything and I don't so I'm wondering if I should worry or just relax, I literally just got this to upgrade my k5 and I bought it used so no warranty or anything.

Thank you

It might be the sound of the sensor cleaning mechanism. Do you have it on?

It also might be tje aperture actuator. Are you sure the sound wasn't aleways there?

Make some photos. Although dropping your camera is not recommended it is a "pro quality" body that takes the dents and bangs quite well.

I agree with Mattt. The lens is much more likely to have sustained damage than the body.

My K5 makes a cross between a ting and a tang (loud) sound followed by a little mouse squeek when I turn it on. Ear hard against the camera.

Sounds like yours makes a similar sound from how you have described it.

Just checked my wife's K5 and it makes the same sounds at start up. Neither camera has been dropped.

I suggest yours is ok.

Yes, dropping your camera as a consequence of ALE-ways may result in unwanted squeaks from he/she who dropped it. Same can be said of the over consumption of any alcoholic beverage.

Cheers to you all,

What does this tell about me?
How ironic that I was typing about alcohol in another thread
