I've found that sometimes, when transferring a lot of files from SD card (or flash drive), every once in a while something happens that corrupts several files. No need to be photos or videos. I've had Corel files corrupted as well as Word or Excel's.

Sometimes I discover the corrupted files "too late" because its days later and I already formated the SD or flash drive. But what I've noticed, is that this usually happens any time there is a LOT OF FILES being transferred at the same time.

Somehow, I guess a "bottleneck" forms along the transfer process (hardware - software) that corrupts a few files. When is only pictures, I immediately notice in Faststone or even in Windows Explorer (thumbnail view).

I've also found that if I do the transfer "in batches" not bigger than 1 Gb, then all files go through perfectly. I've also discovered that any time I find a corrupted photo in my hard drive, if I check on the SD card the same file, it is usually perfect and not corrupted.
