K-S2 question

Hey guys and gals... Just got my K-S2 in today from B&H... Really cool camera but I have one issue, the color/white balance is horrendous at best! This really isn't cool because this is my first penny and I hope to keep her until she breaks. Problem is thst I'm not sure how to correct this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the camera set to AWB? Can you post some samples that you're dissatisfied with? Chances are that the camera is misconfigured in some way.

You can change the color profile via the custom image settings in the record menu. There are quite a few options, so you can tailor the JPEG engine to suit your needs/liking. With that said, the best remedy is to shoot in RAW

Overall the K-S2 works just like other Pentax cameras; no fundamental changes have been made white balance or the JPEG engine.

To expand on Adam's comment, is it possible that you have accidentally changed JPEG settings to something less than "natural"? I don't own the K-S2, but I do own the K-3 where it is very easy to change to something strange and the camera does not require confirmation to do so.

I also just recieved my K-S2 and for the first day I shot with AWB and the kit lens and it did awesome, no complaints at all. I'm also wondering about the settings? Can you confirm AWB and no digital filter? Shooting RAW or JPEG?

Truthfully this is just from looking at the back of the camera. I always shoot raw or raw+JPEG... I'll post some images when I get a chance to put them through Lightroom. Raws might look totally different... Maybe I'm just having a panicked "oh sh*t" moment.
