Bower / Samyang 16mm

My Kx's light meter won't function with the Bower / Samyang 16mm on it.
Anyone else had this issue and know of a fix.
I know the lens is full manual but the light meter should work - Right ?

P.S. took some great Northern Lights photo's with it just after I picked it up.

Set the aperture ring to A. This is not a fully manual lens. You should then see the light meter when in M mode.

Yes, on the aperture ring on the camera, push the little button and switch the lens to A. Keep it there. Now you can select aperture on the camera like with DA lenses, and you can use Av, P mode.
Also, just in case, go to camera's Menu, to the back of it, and Enable the Aperture ring. This option lets you use lenses even outside of A setting. But if they have A, it is easiest to keep it there.
In M mode, green button should give you the appropriate shutter speed, unless the button function has been customized.

And nice! The 16mm is great for sky and such photos! Feel free to post some of the photos in the Photo sharing subforums
