"Scotch" tape is non-conducting and can easily be applied over the conducting part of the lens base.

Conductive copper paint should work fine.

I just asked about this a bit ago, as I have an old Promaster zoom that has an anodized mount and is filled with NOPE when trying to stop it down. I need to muss with it to see if I can get that pin to short.
