Hey there All,
I've just recently purchased this K2000 as a gift for my daughter who has recently moved over 1000 miles away, to Oregon, with my grandkids. For the life of me I can't figure out how to view my subject, on the monitor, prior to my shot. Now, after I take a shot, viewing only through the manual eyepiece, I can view the shot on the monitor......I've downloaded the manual and needless to say its lengthy. I'll go through it more in depth later tonight but I had hoped that someone with a similar issue could point me in the right direction.............Also, I did just update the firmware from 1.0 to 1.1

The K2000 is an older model and it unfortunately doesn't have that feature (aka live view). Sorry! The K-x that succeeded it as well as every Pentax DSLR after it (2009+) does have live view however.

Well that sucks. Perhaps I'll flip this one for another. It's in mint condition. Bought it locally last week..... I'll look around for a Kx or some other. This one would work in a pinch, but I'd like her to have the live view
