wireless shutter for k50

I want to purchase a budget friendly
wireless remote for my k50. I do not want an infrared. Any suggestions?

Without adding wifi, there is no radio signal remote to operate the K-50 via a smartphone etc..

I want this as well, so following. However, to my knowledge, the infrared remote is the only wireless option for the K-50 (hope I'm wrong).

Cactus v5 flash triggers can be configured to trigger the shutter remotely.

Dunno about the K-50 but I'm using Yongnuo RF-603N flash triggers as wireless remotes on my K-5 and K-7 (haven't tried the *istD). I use the Canon lead with the trigger.

Your K-50 has a port for a wired remote and thus, you can use a radio controlled release of this type:

Godox Wireless Remote Set C1 for Canon EOS 650D 600D 550D 500D 450D 60D 1100D | eBay

There a many of this type to be found on eBay. Look out for those remotes applicable for the Canon models ( Canon EOS 650D 600D 550D 500D 450D 60D 1100D) that share the same plug as Pentax.

I used wireless remotes purchased from the Orient on my K200d and now my K3; brands like JJC & Yongnuo etc for about $20 and they work fine even pre-focus and video mode. The female pin connection on Latter Pentax models seems to be the same on most models. Range is OK 50ft maybe more if no obstruction; better than infared for distance I find.
