question about my k-50

Hey, guys, I just bought my k-50 and it's my first DSLR. And I look up the solutions online and tested my first taken .jpeg photo and the result is following:
Results

CameraPENTAX K-50Manufature Date2015:02:18Shutter Count2Would that be the true shutter count? Or should I take a raw photo and test it again instead? Sorry for asking the newbie questions....

And could anyone tell me when I should be using 18-55mm lens or 50-200mm lens? What are the differences?

18-55 is the wide side.....landscapes, group shots getting a lot in the frame
50-200 zoom/reach......brings things closer to you......bird in a tree, the moon

Ah, I see, thanks for the help! I will just put the 18-55 lens on most of the time

you bet after ya been shooting awhile you get a better feel for the focal length(18-55 or 50-200) you want to use for certain things you are goin to try and capture
happy shooting!

welcome to the world of k-50 ownership. you might want to invest in a spare battery pack (they're cheap on amazon) as well as a knockoff AA battery adapter (for emergencies).
