K5 Exposure problem

I have a problem that started this week with my Pentax K5.
To get a properly exposed image I need to overexpose by at least 4-5 stops.
The camera was bought new in 2011.
I have tried different lenses, but come up with the same problem.
Anyone have any similar problem or any ideas.
Thanks.

Are you in spot metering by accident?

Thanks for the quick reply Adam.
On checking, in fact I was in spot metering mode.
So I put it in multi segmented.
Alas the problem remains.
Thanks Adam.

The problem now has rectified itself.
It is back to normal without me doing anything.
Will post again if this problem surfaces again or persists.
