fellow oregonian - gear advice

I'm from Oregon now living in New Mexico! I've been using a pentax k20 for three years and have been happy with the results. I don't know if a non technical person can handle the k5iis. I'm not really into alndscapes but rather street photography-quirky stuff. Also I work in a hospital and do a lot of low light stuff in patient's rooms. I have a pentax 50,35mm lenses, sigma 18-250. I'm also considering the Ricoh GR. Any advice?

Think about the K3 great prices on them now that the K3II are out. As with any DSLR you can use as much or little of the capabilities as you desire.

k-5IIs or k-3 is not really all that more complicated than the k-20. Just don't use the features you don't use.

Either will work just fine.

K-3 would fit what you shoot. Complexity is not much more than K-20.

The modes are the same, the buttons have moved around a little. You won't have any trouble with a K5 series, or a K3. They're just more capable.

Go for a K5-2s or K3 to get the best low light AF performance. The basic K5 is better than the K20 by far in high ISO performance but not in autofocus. The later bodies have much improved AF

Other than that, there is no real difference functionally between the K20 and the K3 or K5. I know, I have a K10 a K7 and a K5. They all work pretty much the same. Also, however the K5 will be A LOT quieter than your K20.
