Thank you ALL

Have a lot to digest here both with Lenses & the possibility of a K50 that MAY even work with my Sigma 18-50mm.

As an "Out of the Box" kind of a "Novice" Photographer that loves extra saturation and Post Processing Effects. We have quote a few options available evn though the CCD sensor intrigues me.

Here are two Pics to show what I mean - a REGULAR Saturated as a "Colin" and THEN post processing a-la Colin too,

So lots to think about eh??

Cheers for Years
Colin

hopefully one from this Forum OK!!!) OR comments about the Pic are TRULY Welcomed.
The picture foreground is a bit busy. I like the picture you posted later in the thread better from a composition perspective. I think technically there is nothing wrong with the sharpness and exposure of this first image - you just needed a slightly better vantage point to take the picture from.

Glad to help - if you haven't heard about it there is a monthly challenge here called "Single In Challenge" where we try to post a single image daily with a single lens. It is very social and generates some picture critique which is helpful for growing as a photographer. There are also other areas on the forum that are designed for solicitation of input on your photos but I find the Single In group the most helpful.

On my mobile I can't but I will tomorrow. In the meantime look at the groups and try to find the monthly challenge group.

If you have no lenses for it, look at the newest 18-55 version, it's a lot better than the original.

Beyond that, look at the DA16-45 which is a nice unit, too.

Very inexpensive - look for Promaster zooms which are sometimes for sale with bodies or without. I found a 24-105 for like $30 with an older body, autofocus, and it's really quite nice. You're going to have to look for bargains, and take some chances.

Or how about this, F35-70. https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/SMC-Pentax-F-35-70mm-F3.5-4.5-Macro-Zoom-Lens.html
