How to Set Time/Date Stamp to Record

Just got the K-50 a couple of months ago and like it a lot. For my work, I need to be able to place a time/date stamp on some photos as I shoot them. I have read the manual and menus backwards and forwards and have not found a way to do it. Anyone know how?

You mean a visible timestamp on the image? I don't think it can right out of the camera, but of course it does record the data. Some printers (or print services) can do this for you, otherwise you'd have to add it with software. What is the target here? Prints or jpegs or what?

Welcome to the Pentax Forums!

As noted by vonBaloney, the data are written into the image EXIF by your K-50, but putting it into a watermark requires software to do it in post processing. Here is a video showing how to do it with the Mogrify plug-in for Lightroom, though there are other options. Google "watermark from exif".
