Z1 electronic problem

Hey there folks,

I have a problem with my Z1 after storing it in the camera bag for couple of months.
When I power on the camera the display lights up and shows the mode I'm in with no errors, but nothing is working, the dials aren't doing anything, AF and shutter are not working and the strangest thing is when I power off the camera the display stays on.
The only way to turn it off is to take out the battery, which is getting warm while the camera is on.
I suspect it's a short circuit in the camera The last time I used the camera it worked fine.
Could there be a problem with the battery? I recently change it before the last couple of times I've used the camera.
