I don't have a K-S1 to help you exactly, but did you check the manual?
PENTAX K-S1 - RICOH IMAGING UK LTD.

You can download the pdf, put it on a smartphone, and just "search" for keywords any time you get lost.

Press info twice, then right scroll and press ok. similar process to switch off.

To get self leveling go to menu, camera settings, 3rd menu where you will find both Electronic Level and Horizon Correction - at least that's how it is on the K-S2

Does the K-S1 have this feature? I can not find it in the menu selection. When pushing info button twice I see the icon for it but it is grayed out and not available. Thanks

P71 of the manual. It's a function of 'Cropping' when you're in Playback mode.

Thanks, JohnX, and I'll expand a little.
It's found by pressing the playback button, then the WB button at the bottom of the four-way controller. Go across to 'Cropping' and press the OK button, then the INFO button, and you'll see 'Image Rotation'. Whew !
And it's not described in the K-S1 manual at all, even that it exists. This cam is a menu diver's Acapulco Cliffs. But Fun !

Thanks Petrock. Knew where the function was, but never tried it. Just had a play, and it's really useful and quick.
