forgotten website

I was looking through some old favourites in my browser when I came upon this one Hardgravity it probably came from this forum, but some people may still find it useful. There is some information on Pentax film and digital cameras and other things.

One oddity: he's calling the P-30T titanium. I suspect that that is a mistake.

I had a P30T, the T was for titanium, a sort of dark silvery-grey. The difference between the black P30n and the P30t apart from the body colour was the T had the split image in the screen at 45 degrees. It was that camera that started me off with the K mount.

I found the section on Pentax digital SLR cameras to be particularly informative. But that's a different story.

The service manuals could come in useful.

I had one of those for a while - greyish plastic body - also had dayglow orange flourishes under the on/off switch and other places but all the P30s may have had that. I now have the K3 Prestige which closely resembles (in my memory) the colour of the P30T. Still just a paint job but at least the body is truly metallic.

The P30Tcamera is shown here on home made pano support that allowed for finding the precise node of rotation of the lens in use. Camera mounted portrait style to increase height of image.
