K-S2 focusing settings

Hi, I'm after some info on the best/preferred focusing methods for a) Landscapes, b) fast subjects/sports photography and c) for movie mode.

I've got my camera set up on the User settings (U1 and U2) for Landscape/Vistas (U1) and Sports/moving (U2).

For U1 I've currently got the focus setting on AF.A. I'm assuming that's OK?

For U2 I've got it set on AF.C. If that is correct, then what should I be setting the menu settings for the following - C3 menu items 18, 19 and 20. 18: "First frame action" (release priority, Auto, or Focus Priority). 19: "Action in AFC" (Focus priority, Auto, FPS(???) Priority). 20: "Hold AF status" (Off, low, medium High). Phew.

I've currently got the settings at AF.C, Auto, Focus Priority and Low.

For the movie mode I've got it set to: Full HD 30fps, movie SR (off), focus (AF.A), C18 (focus priority), C19 (focus priority) and C20 (High).

Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated. Even with the full manual, I still do not really understand what some of these settings do.

The K-3 introduced these focusing modes: Check out the autofocusing page of the K-3 review, where all the options are somewhat de-mystifyed.

Thanks for that calsen. Based upon that I've revised my sports setting to: AF.C, 18 focus priority, 19 focus priority and 20 off.

I've also changed the movie setting item 20 to off.

Now to test out the settings somewhere!
