Glad you got it fixed! I've been checking back in on this thread and wraking my brain as to what could be causing the problem. I guess I mis-read things, but I was thinking you were getting out of focus images in autofocus, too.

Looking back, yes, you are absolutely correct regarding Dcshooter being first to call attention to that possibility, niceshoot. My mistake came in not checking replies until several had built up. I saw it seemed improbable to you in the post following Dcshooter, given that I had reported focusing failure in both viewfinder and images, so I foolishly didn't even give adjustment of the dioptor slider a try at first...much to my regret now. So...if I may, a big tip of the hat to Dcshooter for figuring out my dilemma essentially from the get-go!
