Stain inside old lens - What is this?

Hello, today on flea market I found old lens for 10 and bought it. I have read all instructions for buying a used lens so, I didn't saw anything unusual there. But when I got home and started cleaning it, I found this inside. I'm not sure is this mold or something else.

Oil residue from the iris blades, possibly.

This is only place where I saw this. And becouse I'm new to photography and buying lenses, this concerns me. Do I have to clean this, or will it maybe damage mirror or something inside body?

I have no idea, but if that would be my lens. I wouldn't worry about it at all. It looks like something old was there and it has vanished xD (leaving some not so much aesthetic marks)

As long as the blades aren't slow, it's fine.

indeed. It doesn't look like it's on the glass.

As dcshooter and other's have said, if the blades are snappy and it's not on any of the glass elements I wouldn't worry about.

Some one may have cleaned oil off the blades by dripping lighter fluid into the diaphragm and didn't wipe off the excess.
