K50 rattle

While using my K50 w a Rokinon 85mm 1.4 lense I heard a rattle that is easily heard on Live View and less noticeable when Live View is off. It is a fairly new camera, it has not been dropped. What might be happening? Buddy

That's normal. What you're hearing is the SR system in action.

You'll also hear a clunk sound when moving the camera around while it's off.

Probably the sensor moving about.
This is normal.
The SR magnets are off when the camera is off leaving the sensor to freely float around.

I have read a number of posts to threads that note a rattle and I guess it is not only acceptable but in fact normal although none of them state the condition as I observed with my camera. That being stated any reassurance or explanation will be appreciated. I want to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who uses this forum and posts replies and comments for being there for novices like me. Buddy

One thing to note is that the rattle gets louder with longer telephoto lenses. As long as the live view image is stable, there's nothing to worry about.

If something does break, the SR system can go haywire and shake the sensor erratically, but this would effectively prevent you from taking photos.
