Pentax soft ware

Where can I download the Pentax software to go with my K1? I left the CD with the software in my hotel room in Taipei . . . Thank you for your help!

You can't download from any official channel, but a member might be able to upload an ISO and share it with you.

Which PDCU, in other words Pentax Digital Camera Utility software came with the K-1?

Reason I ask is I have the CD for version 5, he could then update it if it's the same software that comes with K-1.

The ricoh page seems to indicate that version 5 would work with the K-1.

See post #3 for the link.

And yes, the update on the Ricoh site will work with any version of PDCU 5, so if you first installed photolady's CD then applied the upgrade, you'd be in good shape. The K-1 requires PDCU 5.5.0 or newer for full support.

MarkJerling posted a link above.

DCU is what ships with the K-1

See this thread on how to install without a CD.
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/55-photography-articles/36984-how-install...installed.html

Basically all you need to do is rename a removable drive as S-SWxxx. I believe it is S-SW140 for v5.5.1. If not run the update install and it will complain and tell you what name it is looking for..

With Windows connect you camera via USB cable or put a card in a card reader. In Windows file explorer right-click on the drive icon for the card and pick "Rename" and change it to S-SW140 or whatever. Then run the update install.
