K-1 and 77mm limited in Ricoh Image Utility

I cannot get the Laboratory function of the Ricoh Imaging Utility to recognize shots with my 77mm limited lens. It will display the images, but when I hit the laboratory button it goes to a grey screen and no image appears.

The first time this happened I thought it was some aberration with the memory card, but taking a few shots today, I realize that it is not working with the new images either. Every other lens I have used on the K-1 has displayed and been editable with this software.

I would not be using this software if DXO had a K-1 profile, but as far as I know, this does not exist yet.

If there is an obvious answer to this, I apologize, but it seems odd to me that the image will display, but will not allow editing functionality. All EXIF information appears in the display (with the exception of the f/ stop information of course).

I am shooting in RAW+ mode with RAW on one memory card and JPEG on the other. No problem with JPEGs although I have not tried to edit any of them in this software. I think I will rule this out next.

Anyone with similar problems?

Why is the F stop not showing? Could it be because your aperture ring wasn't set to "A"?

I didn't think of that. The 77 is the only manual lens I have that has the "A" option. The only way I ever used it was by manually stopping down. Do you think this could be the the reason I can't edit in RDCU?

I know it's a bit late, but yes to your question. I think that when you manually use the aperture, the camera doesn't know what the aperture is, and it probably needs the aperture and lens FL.
