another newbie question exif solved thanks

ok, when I post a photo to Flickr.com, I get an option to review EXIF data but I'm not sure what exactly I am seeing. I thought I could find the shutter count of the camera but I don't see it. I thought I would see info on what camera I used, found that, and what lens was used, don't recognized that if it is there.

where can I learn about what the EXIF data is showing and what EXIF data, if any, is missing. Here is what my existing EXIF data shows on a shot taken by me while on safari this summer in Tanzania using my used K 5 II

I'm sure one of the many flickr users will be along to help, but if you want to check your shutter count, you can use this feature on the forums.
Click on articles, and the dropdown includes shutter count.

There are a lot of EXIF utilities available (for free). The one I like is PhotoMe. There are a few more fields in the EXIF area that hold data. On the PhotoMe utility, download it and then just drag an image into it and it displays all the fields.Within the meta data attached to the image, there are also other areas, all of which are generally referred to as EXIF data. Here is the official document describing the EXIF data. Essentially everything you really never cared to know about EXIF...enjoy!!!!!!

The shutter count is usually in Maker Notes and doesn't normally show up in the Exif data displayed in Flickr. ExifToolGUI is an excellent app for most anything relating to Exif information and its free also. You can edit the Exif Information easily.

I think Flickr only displays some fields as mentioned. If the lens is recognized it displays before you reveal EXIF.

I've never had Flickr display maker notes data including lens used until I send the data to the Exif file via ExifTool. After downloading the DNG file from the SD card I now copy over the pertinent data to the original Exif file then I use PhotoMove to copy the DNG to folders for editing and store the original DNG off computer.

Interesting. I'm going by other people's displayed data - they may be doing what you are doing. I always wondered why mine did not show.
