Originally posted by HughPhotography I know I can tether with the Wifi, but the battery life on the K-s2 drops drastically when it is on. Is there a way to tether to my laptop via the USB. I have serch the internet and can not find a yes or a no. Looking to shoot for time lapse, so any help on doing that with the K-s2 would also be appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris
Try limiting your use of live view while tethered- that should save some power. There's also an adapter you can get if needed.
Unfortunately as boriscleto said, official USB tethering support is currently limited to the "pro" models. Fan-developed software doesn't seem to work too well for the K-S2, though there is a nice program that essentially lets you do everthing image sync can, but through a PC:
