In camera SR?

I have been wondering about the SR on my K5IIs for a while...not sure if it is working or not...
In live-view, I can hear some mechanical sound from the body when I shake the body, I can also see the photo sensor moving if I removed the lens.

But, when I am not using the live-view, I cannot hear anything from the camera. The only thing I can tell about the SR is the ((hand)) symbol.
I tried to do a long exposure shot with mirror up with out lens, but the sensor was not moving like live-view...

Is this work as intended?

I think so. My K-5 acts the same way. I think, as long as you see the sensor move, It is a good indication that your camera SR is still working.

Sounds about right. The SR is not fully active unless the shutter is open, and it's generally louder in LV.

Try to hand-hold a shot at 1/8s or so. If it's not super blurry, then you know SR is working

Thank you very much, glad I did not break my camera...
I tried to do a few shots with SR on and a few off, I can now confirm SR works on my camera without live-view.
Cleared my long time mystery
